Probably The Best Web Hosting Company In The World
Sunday January 15th 2006, 11:28 pm
If you dropped by the entrepreneur.co.uk website today, chances are you were confronted with little more than an error message. Things looked fine and dandy this morning, but between then and tonight something obviously went wrong with MySQL, the database management system that ensures visitors can access entrepreneur.co.uk’s web pages. I’m not the most technically minded of people and having failed to find the source of the problem myself, I turned to the company that hosts entrepreneur.co.uk, Total Choice Hosting. Bearing in mind that it was 10.45pm on a Sunday night when I raised the support ticket, I didn’t really expect to have my problem solved until Monday morning at the earliest. It was sorted by 10.48pm. To be honest, I should have known that someone from support riding a white charger would have been racing to my aid. Every problem I have ever had over the past two years has been solved with incredible speed. But three minutes flat on a Sunday night? Wow! When it comes to choosing a company that you entrust with ensuring your website is available 24-7, the quality of support should be your number one consideration. It should also be your number two consideration and your number three consideration. Price of course is also of importance, particularly when you are starting out and particularly when you are in the business of making money not spending it. Well, to have Total Choice Hosting host entrepreneur.co.uk costs me US$44 a year. That’s barely 50p a week. And for that I get all the bells and whistles that a site like entrepreneur.co.uk could wish for. And more. With prices like that and support to die for, I wouldn’t even consider hosting any of my sites elsewhere. “Thank you for choosing TotalChoiceHosting” it said at the end of the support email notifying me that the problem had been fixed. For me, that’s a no-brainer. And if you are looking for a reliable web hosting company to host your website, you’ve just found it.
