Open For Business Around The Clock - Even When You Are Asleep!
Wednesday April 26th 2006, 11:37 am
Usually when you work for yourself, taking time off means a loss of income. If you run a cafe for example and close while you take a well earned break in the sun for two weeks you won’t make a penny while you are away. In fact that’s true every single day unless you operate a 24 hour cafe. Every hour that the closed sign appears on your door you are effectively turning away potential income. That’s not necessarily true of internet businesses however. Server down time accepted, your website is open for business 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. You can be sleeping, walking the dog, crusing the Caribbean and people can be visiting your website and making you money. I have just spent five days in France and have returned to find that while away the money has continued to come in. True, I had a pile of emails to wade through when I got back, but within a day I was mostly back up to speed and ready to continue with my mission. The ultimate dream of many internet entrepreneurs is to be lying by a pool in some exotic location while the money pours into your inbox. That dream needn’t be a distant one given the opportunities available to the likes of you and me today. It’s just a case of working towards making that dream come true.
