Entrepreneur - One Man One Mission One Million One Year

What A 15 Year Old Can Teach You About Success
Sunday February 10th 2008, 3:00 pm

I firmly believe that everyone is born to be an entrepreneur.

But there comes a time when most of us stop believing in the limitless potential of the human spirit (you know, the one that invented the wheel, landed on the moon, discovered penicillin, built the pyramids, opened your eyes to the wonders of Pot Noodles) and settle for “a living”?

Certainly by the time we leave school most of us find our ambitions are far more mundane.

Instead of owning a zoo, we settle for visiting one.

Instead of flying our own plane we’re grateful to get a seat on a train.

And instead of picnicing on the moon, we grab a burger at McDonald’s.

For the most part we are extraordinary human beings leading incredibly ordinary lives.

That’s why every now and then it’s good to get a wake up call. A reminder that amazing things are possible if we put our minds to it.

Over at Internet Entrepreneurs, I’ve just published an interview with an internet entrepreneur called Donny Ouyang who makes thousands of dollars a month from developing and selling websites. And like a lot of internet entrepreneurs, he’s just written an e-book about his experiences.

But what makes Donny different is that he’s just 15 years old.

He’s does everything ordinary 15 year old boys do. Goes to school, plays basketball, loves computer games, thinks about girls. But he’s also making more money in his sparetime than most people make in their 9 to 5 jobs.

Definitely a kid going places. And definitely a kid worth listening to. So rather than take up any more of your time, here’s the direct link to the Donny Ouyang interview.
