The LoJo Ball – Not Exactly Sure What It Is But I Want One

I’m a sucker for a good affiliate incentive and the one currently being offered by All Up And On is right up my street.

Firstly, any All Up And On affiliate has a chance of winning. No sales targets to hit.  No hoops to jump through. All you have to do is pick three products from their website – one under £50, one under £100 and one under £200 – and then write about them on your website or blog.  All three must appear in the same article and you must say why you want them and what you would use them for. On the closing date (30th of April), a draw will take place and three lucky people will win whatever they wrote about.

What’s clever about an affiliate competition like this is that it’s not really about increasing sales directly – although I’ve no doubt that it will lead to more sales.  It’s more about increasing awareness of the All Up And On product range among affiliates and that new found product knowledge will then lead to more affiliates promoting the company, thereby increasing affiliate sales for All Up And On.  This is something more merchants should try, particularly smaller ones who are currently hiding their light under a bushel.

Entering this affiliate incentive was a no brainer for me because I really want to win a LoJo Ball.  I’m not sure why because I don’t quite get it, but curiosity is driving me mad.  It’s billed as an “innovative seating concept” and certainly looks funky.  Zipped it forms a perfect sphere so you can use it as a foot rest or a stool. Unzipped it becomes a “stylish and comfortable” chair.  Apparently you have to inflate it too.  I really want to win one so I can tell the rest of the world all about it so if you want one too you’ll have to buy one – go for the Vintage Mustang 69 at £99.

That said, I’d also really like an Outdoor Oversized Fatboy Beanbag (£199).  I can picture myself tapping away on my laptop as I lounge around on my terrace, with an equally oversized umbrella shading me from the midday sun.  Sweet dreams are made of this!  The outdoor Fatboys are fitted with a special strap and sail ring so that you can use it in a sitting position.  Just as well really because sitting rather than lying down will keep me from snoozing.  Probably.

The other thing that caught my eye was the Bye Bye Standby Kit (£31).  I have to plead guilty to leaving far too many electrical appliances on standby.  The television, DVD player, set-up box and Wii spring to mind and they inhabit but one corner of my home.  Bye Bye Standby allows you to control all of your electrical appliances by using the supplied remote control and the smart sockets.  Apparently, it pays for itself within a year, reduces the risk of an electrical fire in your home and also saves energy. Each smart socket can run a four plug adaptor so I’d use one in my office, one in the front room and another in the bedroom.

Here’s hoping come April the 30th!
