Don’t You Dare Enter The New Affiliate Incentive From Buyagift
It’s hard to believe that almost a whole month has passed since my last post, but I’ve a mountain of excuses to offer up as to why. Top of the list is something that I haven’t done for years and years. Taken a whole week of without so much as a glance at a computer screen. Incredible, but true.
I spent last week relaxing in the warmth of the Costa Blanca and didn’t look at emails, check sales stats (something that I do far too many times a day normally) or do anything at all related to work. I didn’t even take my laptop with me and rather than my usual choice of literature (business or economics), I read the excellent Mismatch: The Lifestyle Diseases Timebomb by Peter Gluckman and Mark Hanson.
I did take one of my trusty notepads in case I got bored and wanted to start jotting down ideas, but it too returned from my holiday unopened.
On my return I was greeted by a week’s worth of emails and other work-related stuff that needed my attention, but it took next to no time to deal with the important stuff and get back on track. Otherwise my little empire of websites had continued to make me money without a second thought as to where I was or what I was doing. One of the many benefits of working online.
And now that I’m back at work, my thoughts are already on another holiday – this time to Monaco courtesy of the latest affiliate incentive from Buyagift.
Six very lucky affiliates will be whisked off to the playground of the rich and famous for four days of glamour and excitement. Powerboats, casinos, driving into the Alps in a fleet on Minis. I’m hoping to be among them.
Last year, Buyagift took eight lucky affiliates to California – but I wasn’t one of them. Despite trying hard to win a place, a look at my paltry sales figures for the qualifying period shows why I wasn’t on the plane to San Francisco, but I’m hoping this year things will be different. Unfortunately I had quite a good third quarter sales-wise (for me anyway) which doesn’t make things any easier, and October to date hasn’t been brilliant, but there’s still plenty of time to go and I’m always the optimist.
Once I’ve got the Christmas promotions out of the way, I’m going to devote as much time as possible to finishing my book, Get Out While You Can. It should have been out for the end of this month, but I’ve still got a bit to do to make sure the book is as good as it can be, so the end of this year looks likely now. And who knows, I might even be able to arrange a book signing for Monaco for next year if the affiliate gods smile down on me.
