A New Website In Half An Hour – It’s Magic!

I’ve always been fascinated by magic and magicians and have been known to perform the odd trick or two myself. Sadly, I’m no David Blaine. I’m currently working on a trick where I have a penny and a pound in my hand and I make the penny disappear. Let’s just say I need to work on my sleight of hand.

A while again I came across a magic website that sold video tutorials that show you how to perform magic tricks – and I’ve bought a few of them over the last year or two. The site in question is called Pub Tricks and it was started in 2003 by David Minns. Today it’s the largest download magic trick website in the world and part of the reason for David’s success is his very simple and free franchise offering.

Basically, if you have a domain name and hosting, David provides you with a simple website that you can use to promote his video tutorials. You then earn 20% of any sales generated. There is a hosting package on offer, but at US$120 a year it’s certainly not cheap. Better to arrange your own hosting.

I have a few magic related domain names and so signed up as an affiliate today. Less than half an hour later Street Magic was born. Obviously that’s not the end of the story – without developing and promoting the site it’s going to make me nothing, but it goes to show how easily and quickly you can get a website up and running that has the potential to make you money.
