I’m slowly but surely working through my domain name portfolio and having to make tough decisions with regards being realistic about what names I’ll be in a position to develop in the foreseeable future. I’m a hoarder by nature which makes letting go of anything difficult, but if I’m to end this year with less names than I started it with it’s something that has to be done. I’ve got a set of airport and travel related domain names as follows:
I think they would be perfect for a travel related affiliate or indeed a travel agent to exploit niche markets selling flights and holidays from specific airports. There are large numbers of people who now look to their local airport as the most convenient start and end point to their travels – and will look for flights and holidays that depart and return from that airport. My idea would have been to build niche websites around flights and holidays that leave from each specific airport, working with the large number of affiliate travel and airline merchants out there who will pay commission for flights and holidays booked. Each site would have not only included details of what was available, but also destination reports (which in turn could be used to sell holiday extras such as car hire, travel insurance and so on). If the above is something that you think you could take forward, I will listen to offers for individual names of around the £300 mark, but would initially prefer to sell as a set – and as such would be willing to do a very good deal on the complete set. How good a deal? Well, I’ve already been asked this so in the interests of transparency I’ll repeat the figure here. I would accept £1,000 for all eight domains. Interested?
